You Good?

Staff wellbeing check-in for UK businesses

Know how your people are, before it becomes a resignation.

Every working day, your staff rate how they feel from 1 to 10. It takes 10 seconds, and every check-in is an entry in a monthly voucher draw. If they want to talk, the You Good? team is there. You get a private weekly report with trends, never names.

Chats are with a real person on our team, not AI. No one in your company handles them.

How it works

Three parts, none of them involve your managers.

  1. Staff check in daily

A small window on their work laptop at login, or a poster with a QR code for staff who use their own phone. One tap, 1 to 10. Each check-in earns an entry in the prize draw.

  2. The You Good? team is there

Anyone who wants to talk chats privately with a real person on the You Good? team, never a chatbot, on weekdays 9 to 5. Prefer to talk? They can arrange a call at a time that suits them, and they choose whether to share a number. If someone has a run of low scores, the team can send a gentle message, if they have opted in.

  3. You get a report on Monday

An email to the owner or HR lead with weekly, monthly and yearly trends by team. Groups under 5 people are never shown.

Who you talk to

A real, trained person. Never AI.

Every chat is with a person on the You Good? team. There is no chatbot and no automated replies, and your staff always know that. If someone would rather talk than type, they can ask for a call at a time that suits them.

They hear what is behind the words

A person notices tone, hesitation and what is left unsaid. A chatbot answers the sentence it is given.

They know when to step up

If someone may be in danger, a person can judge it and act, including contacting your named emergency contact. Software cannot be trusted with that call.

They point people the right way

Samaritans, the GP, NHS services, charities and specialist services, chosen for that person and what they have said.

Someone is accountable

People are more willing to be honest with a human being, and you know who is answering. Chats are private and kept apart from your company.

Help beyond the chat

The right help for the situation.

A chat is often the first step, not the answer. The team points people to UK charities and support services that deal with their specific situation, and we are building working relationships with them, so nobody is left to search alone.

Money worries

Free debt and money advice, from services such as Citizens Advice and StepChange.

Low mood and anxiety

The GP, NHS talking therapies, and mental health charities such as Mind.

Bereavement

Specialist bereavement support, such as Cruse.

An unsafe home

Confidential domestic abuse helplines and local services.

Drink and drugs

Local drug and alcohol services and national helplines.

Problems at work

Free, impartial advice on rights at work, such as Acas.

Caring for someone

Carers' charities and local support groups.

A crisis

Samaritans on 116 123, and 999 in an emergency.

The team signposts. It does not give medical, legal or financial advice, or recommend treatment.

Why people take part

A reason to check in every day.

WinA voucher draw, every month

Every check-in is an entry

Check in on 20 days, get 20 entries. Any score counts the same, so nobody is rewarded for saying they are fine.

One winner a month

The voucher link goes straight to the winner's widget, or to their phone if they use the poster.

You see take-up, not people

Your report shows the share of staff checking in each day, so you can see whether it is working.

Privacy

People only use it if they trust it.

Staff get a private ID, not a username. The You Good? team is independent of your company.

You will see

  • Average scores for the company and for teams of 5 or more
  • Trends by week, month and year
  • Which days and teams are lowest
  • How many staff are taking part

You will never see

  • Any chat or note a person writes
  • A person's name or their own scores
  • Who used the chat
  • Any group smaller than 5 people
The one exception is immediate danger. If the team believes someone may be at risk, it can tell your named emergency contact where the chat came from, so they can check on that person. Every release is logged and the reason is recorded. The You Good? team listens and signposts. It is not counselling or therapy.

Security

Built so there is little to steal, and strong locks on what there is.

Staff trust is the whole service, so we hold as little as we can and protect all of it.

Little to steal

No names. People use a private ID. Notes stay on their own device and are never uploaded. Chats, scores and any sealed details are kept in separate stores.

Locked-down access

Multi-factor login for everyone on our team. Each company's data is kept apart from every other's. No one has standing access to the records.

Encrypted

Data is encrypted as it travels and where it is stored, and so are the backups.

Tightly controlled emergency lookups

A reason is required, a second person approves it, and details go only to your named contact by call back. Every lookup is logged, and the log cannot be edited by anyone at your company.

Deleted on schedule

Scores are deleted after 12 months, automatically. Nothing is kept longer than it needs to be.

Independently tested

Before any company goes live, an independent security specialist tests the service and it is certified to Cyber Essentials. Your IT team can review our security answers before anything is installed.

The Monday report

Trends you can act on, without a dashboard to log into.

It arrives by email. Here is the company chart from a sample report.
